Statement From Candidate For Governor Kelly Schulz On The Legislature’s Vote

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Today, candidate for governor Kelly Schulz released the following statement in response to the legislature’s vote in support of repealing school mask policies:

“The legislature made the right decision today officially rescinding the State Board of Education’s mask mandate. After two years of forcing healthy children to sacrifice for adults, enough is enough. Students should not be required to wear masks in our schools.

“Every school system in the state should now take one of two immediate actions. Either completely rescind the mask mandate or make mask-wearing optional. After all they had to go through, our children will finally be able to return to normalcy in their classrooms. It’s the very least we can do for them.”
